Proud to be part of PSP - Team Testimonials
My passion for running PSP is driven by my deep desire to help clinicians thrive. I know that when a therapist is well supported, well trained, and feels purposeful, not only are they a light in the world, but the work they do with clients has exponential impact.
There are many ways to run a business and I’ve created a model that is based on community and connection. Yes, there are still dollars and a business structure in place, but the focus is on how we can come together to support each other to grow as people and as professionals.
Expanding our externship program into a full-fledged cohort model has amplified what PSP has to offer for both new and experienced clinicians. New associates get a more intimate experience the first years after grad school - a special weekly consult group, additionally weekly business coaching sessions and therapy skills training sessions, charting and notes mentoring weekly, in addition to all the other benefits that are part of being a PSP clinician. As clinicians grow, they have the opportunity to take on mentoring and leadership roles, from presenting in-house workshops on favorite topics to growing into official supervisor roles.
Every week, I get to hear clinicians express pride and gratitude for being part of our team. Those words light me up and are the reason that I try to keep improving our services year after year. I hope their words bring a smile to your face, and give you a feel for what PSP is like.
If you are a prospective clinician interested in working with PSP, don’t hesitate to reach out for an informational conversation about our model to learn more. If you value pushing yourself for ongoing learning and a rich community around you to hold the humanity of being healers, we have a values alignment which is a powerful beginning. We are not the right fit for everyone, and talking to our clinicians privately as part of the mutual screening process is a great way to learn about the challenges of being part of any group, and the ones unique at PSP.
We look forward to hearing from you - and in the meantime, we hope you enjoy hearing from what our team has to share.
Yours,
Evonne
What our therapists saying
Puget Sound Psychotherapy is a special place. I would say that specialness starts at the top and percolates down into every other aspect of the organization. Though she may demur, the group’s owner, Evonne Noble, is the driving force through whom PSP has so effectively impacted the Seattle community. Evonne has an uncanny ability to see people’s strengths and to help them channel those strengths. This comes across in both how she approaches the clinicians that join PSP and the clients who walk through the door as well as in her great networking skills. For the clinician just starting out in the field Evonne and the other veteran therapists represent an invaluable resource to learn new modalities, differing approaches, and therapeutic insights. PSP is an amazing gateway toward growth and professional connection.
And then there is the location nestled at the bottom of the hill in Madison Valley. The Sun lit rooms provide the perfect setting for this humanist vocation. It is both welcoming to clients and inspiring to clinicians. I very much miss my corner office there and all the local flavor available at break time. Walks in the Arboretum and the Japanese Gardens, coffee or lunch at any number of spots along Madison Street. These businesses root PSP down in a community and make it feel connected to something bigger. PSP feels like a home.
Everytime we get new administrative staff I think that it can’t get any better, because each person that has worked here I adore. I feel so supported, and I love dropping in and being able to talk to the admin team. They just light up my day.
I love the mentorship feeling that I get from having not just supervisors at PSP but that like there are so many people I can call when I need help and they're all part of the PSP community. Having support on my notes has been so helpful this first year. These are just a few of the things that I'm loving about PSP already.
The workplace is a blend of service, friendship, and fun. PSP has a relaxed, supportive environment.
The culture at PSP is nurturing and uplifting. A sense of community and belonging is an inherent part of the job.
The clinicians and admin team care deeply about the work we do here. Everyone at PSP genuinely cares about one another. The work culture encourages growth, self-care, and joyfulness.
PSP is an amazing community and place to land as a postgraduate. Warm and open community, eagerness to learn and grow together as clinicians and also humans! I have felt so supported as I am getting my feet on the ground as an associate therapist! PSP is collaborative and has the energy to co-create what we want our workplace/professional community to be.
Partnering with PSP has many benefits. One of the most notable is the support provided from the inclusive, kind, and fun PSP community. PSP provides clientele for clinicians based on their unique skill set. The billing team is responsive and proactive. Clinicians at PSP have the opportunity to run a private practice their way without the added stress of marketing and billing. Clinicians get to focus on managing their caseload in the way that works for them. PSP provides a valuable service to clinicians who want to run a private practice without the added stress of building clientele and processing billing. I highly recommend partnering with PSP.
Evonne's business meetings are practical, useful, genuinely inspiring and delivered in a true spirit of generosity.
It is evident that Evonne is passionate about sharing her knowledge and supporting the professional well-being of clinicians in our field.
