Ronan Allison - Therapist at Puget Sound Psychotherapy
Pronouns: he/him

My style with adults is client-centered and collaborative. My hope is to create a safe space where we can explore your life together by processing past experiences, identifying what may be helpful in your current life, and preparing for your future.

I balance making space for your emotions with practical tools and strategies. I  am honest, direct, and compassionate. I use EMDR, mindfulness, ACT, and CBT  to help you move toward greater mental wellness.

Life is hard. Please reach out for a consultation to see if my style is a good fit for your needs.

With children, I practice child-centered play therapy. Play meets children where they are at neurodevelopmentally, strengthens a child’s sense of self, and allows for opportunities of self-regulation. Because play promotes long-lasting internal changes in children, challenges which are stressful for both you and your child decrease over the course of play therapy.

I also offer tandem parent sessions which enables us to discuss the growth of your child during the course of therapy, potential areas which need focus, and environmental changes which would be supportive of your child. In addition, I wish to create a space in which you feel you can be as a person first, not just a parent, brainstorming ways to navigate parenthood in order to promote balance and personal wellness in your life.
