Meet Alison Mim Mack

Alison's therapy style is collaborative, holistic, and psychoeducational.

Pronouns: she/they

I am a systemic and attachment-based therapist that works with individuals, couples, families, and other multisystem clients. My passion lies in working with those with queer, trans, and gender non-conforming identities, as well as interests or concerns surrounding sex, intimacy, kink, and polyamorous/non-traditional relationships.

I aim to create a safe and affirming space for clients to explore their identities and relationships. I recognize the unique challenges and experiences faced by individuals within marginalized communities and am committed to providing culturally competent care within my therapeutic practice.

In my work, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to help clients identify and express their underlying emotions and foster greater emotional intimacy in their relationships. Additionally, I draw upon the principles of Gottman Method Couples Therapy to provide practical tools for communication, conflict resolution, and strengthening connection. Every individual and relationship is unique, so I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each client.

“In troubled times, may I find the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” – Reinhold Niebuhr
